Cape Byron is Australia's most easterly point and is located on the far north coast of New South Wales. If you enjoy being part of a crowd or a pumping nightlife then you should visit Byron Bay in the summer months from December to February. Summertime is the main holiday season in Australia and many people travel during their Christmas holidays. Easter is also a busy time as crowds gather to enjoy the East Coast Blues Festival and Roots Music Festival.

For those who prefer a more relaxed holiday a visit during late Summer or Autumn will find the accommodation is cheaper, the beaches a little quieter and locals more welcoming to tourists.
